Validity of Dakshina Kannada – Kasaragod daily passes extended till July 4

Mangaluru: People of Dakshina Kannada and Kasaragod with daily passes which was valid till June 30 have nothing to worry as their validity has been extended till July 4.
A release from the office of Assistant Commissioner of Mangaluru Subdivision stated, “Due to the prevalent restrictions for interstate movement of persons due to Covid-19 pandemic, e-Passes were being issued by this office to the residents of Kasargod District, Kerala in order to facilitate the movement of professionals, students, and other workers in order to carry out their day to day occupational activities in Dakshina Kannada District for entry only through Talapady Checkpost.”
“The aforementioned passes issued were said to be valid until June 30. However, to prevent inconvenience to all such pass holders, it is hereby notified that all such passes shall be valid until July 4,” the release further stated.
The release also added, “It is specifically reiterated that no renewal of such passes would be necessary and all are hereby requested not to reapply for passes for renewal and any such requests for extension will not be entertained by this office.”
