Air India’s Delhi-Moscow flight returns midway after pilot found COVID-19 positive

New Delhi: An Air India flight, part of Vande Bharat Mission had to return to Delhi after the airline’s ground team found out that one of the pilots had tested positive for novel coronavirus.
The flight had departed from Delhi for Moscow to fly back the Indians stranded there. There were no passengers on board the flight except for the crew members.
The A320 plane had reached Uzbekistan’s airspace when the airline’s ground team realised that one of the pilots had tested COVID-positive stated a senior Air India official.
The flight was immediately asked to return. It came back to Delhi at around 12.30 pm on Saturday,he added.
The entire crew of the aircraft has been quarantined.
Another plane would be operated to Moscow to bring back the stranded Indians
