The party workers were celebrating with a victory march at Adyar Padav when miscreants attacked the group by pelting stones on them. A few of the part workers sustained grievous injuries and where admitted at Mangaluru government hospital.

Kamath who visited the hospital, strongly condemned the attack and directed the police to take strict action against the miscreants. “I’ll not tolerate any injustice or trouble caused to the workers and will make sure that the culprits are subjected to legal action.”

“The Goonda acts that used to take place in Dakshina Kannada under congress government will not be given opportunity now,” he said, directly threatening the miscreants.
