Mangaluru: BJP’s victorious candidate of Mangaluru south constituency rushed late in the night to Mangaluru government hospital to enquire about the condition of the grievously injured party workers admitted at the hospital.

Vedavyas Kamath was in the middle of the celebration of his victory in the elections when he received the information on the attack and injury of party workers. The party workers were celebrating with a victory march at Adyar Padav when miscreants attacked the group by pelting stones on them. A few of the part workers sustained grievous injuries and where admitted at Mangaluru government hospital.

Kamath who visited the hospital, strongly condemned the attack and directed the police to take strict action against the miscreants. “I’ll not tolerate any injustice or trouble caused to the workers and will make sure that the culprits are subjected to legal action.”

“The Goonda acts that used to take place in Dakshina Kannada under congress government will not be given opportunity now,” he said, directly threatening the miscreants.

BJP party workers appreciated the act of victorious Vedvyas Kamath who came to the assistance of the injured party  workers even before receiving office.
