Bengaluru: The Samanvaya Vedike of the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) has demanded the State government must not utilise the money kept for government school teachers in the financial relief package announced for teachers employed in private school.

The Kodagu district convenor of the Vedike, Nagesh, said that a separate fund must be created and used for the private school teachers.

“The government school teachers fund consists of money collected during Teachers Day and sale of stamps and hence must be used for government school teachers welfare only,” Nagesh said.
