Vehicle theft case: Ullal police nab interstate thief

Mangaluru: A 26-year-old interstate thief has been arrested in connection with the theft of a pick-up vehicle from near Kotekar on NH 66.

The arrested has been identified as Ahmed Ramzan, a resident of Melparamba Mangad in Kerala. Police have recovered the stolen pick-up vehicle from his possession

The theft had taken place on January 3 when the vehicle was parked near the South India timer depot at Kotekar. A complaint in this regard had been lodged at Ullal police station by the vehicle owner Mohammed Sharif.

The investigations found that Ramzan was involved in the theft and arrested him. He is under police custody now.
