Venur: One person was killed and another injured in a head-on collision between two motorbikes at Kodangallu in Moodabidre here on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Ravindra Poojary (35), a resident of Hoshangadi in Belthangady Taluk. His brother  Rajendra Poojary, who was riding pillion, was injured and was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

Ravindra ran a home-based business of making and selling parotta. He leaves behind his wife, and 2 young children.

Even in their moment of grief, the bereaved family of Ravindra has decided to donate his eyes.
