Veteran actress Krishnakumari passes away

Bengaluru: Veteran multilingual actor Krishnakumari passed away on Wednesday morning at her residence in Bangalore.

The actress was 85 years old and suffered from blood cancer. She was the sister of actor Sowkar Janaki.

She has acted in many films including Bhaktha Kanankadasa, Ashasundari and Swarna Gowri. She has starred opposite popular heroes of her times like Rajkumar, NT Rama Ro, Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, Gemini Ganeshan and others.

Krishna Kumari is survived by her son and daughter-in-law.
