Veteran Congress leader B Sankappa Rai no more

Bantwal: Veteran Congress leader B Sankappa Rai (85), passed away at a hospital in Mangaluru.
Rai, son of the late Perne Mayila Rai Bellippady and the late Laxmi Rai lived at Kombettu.
Rai was active in Political arena since 1970. Rai was the president of the taluk development board during 1973-74. He was the member of the district Road Transport Authority, and had worked towards running private buses to rural destinations.
Sankappa Rai is closely related to district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai.
