Veteran Yakshagana artist Karki Narayana Hasyagar passes away

Honnavara: Kondi Narayana Hasyagar Karki (89), a senior artist of Yakshagana of Karki tradition passed away on June 22.
Know as ‘Nani comedian’ in the Yakshagana performances and for portraying Krishna on stage.
He achieved the highest fame for his Yakshagana performances under the ‘Karki Hasyagar Mela.’
His dance performances in Yakshaganas were also famous for their expressive quality.
