Mangaluru: The Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu will be visiting Mangaluru and attending the 17th convocation and diamond jubilee celebration of the National Institute of Technology (NITK) in Surathkal on November 2nd.
According to the schedule, Mr Naidu will arrive at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at around 10:30 am on Nov 2nd and then proceed to NITK to attend the convocation and diamond jubilee celebration there. He will later leave for Mysuru in a special flight at around 3:10 pm in the afternoon.
In preparation to the visit by the Vice-President, DK Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Roopesh convened a preliminary meeting at her office and asked the officials to take all precautions and necessary measures to ensure the VP’s visit goes without any hiccup. The DC also asked MCC and NHAI officials to repair the roads between MIA and NITK as the VP is likely to travel via that route.
