A 24-year-old Puerto Rican woman has made history as the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome.

Sofia Jirau is one of 17 women who have signed up for the Love Cloud Collection, the company’s newest underwear line.

The 24-year-old said it was a dream come true for her to be affiliated with the company on Instagram.

“One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true. I can finally tell you my big secret. I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down’s syndrome,”  Jirau wrote on Instagram.

Jirau began modelling in March 2019 and has since developed a website where she offers phone cases, mugs, shirts, and other merchandise. In 2020, she got her big break at New York Fashion Week.

“When I was little, I looked myself in the mirror and said, ‘I’m going to be a model and a businesswoman’. Inside and out, there are no limits. There aren’t. Everyone can accomplish their dreams,” she told People Magazine.

After receiving a call from Victoria’s Secret for their Love Cloud bra collection in 2022, Jirau relocated to Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old told NBC News that she wants to show the world that people with Down’s Syndrome have no limitations and can do anything.

She is a model as well as the founder of the ‘No Limits’ campaign, which tries to raise awareness about Down’s Syndrome.

A girl with Down’s Syndrome made headlines online a few years ago after becoming a popular model.

Kennedy has worked for some of America’s most well-known businesses. She has also competed in dancing contests, modelled for ‘American Girl’ and ‘Justice Clothing,’ and appeared in television commercials.
