Video of boy stopping devotees from wasting food, goes viral

Bengaluru: An eighth standard student hogged the limelight at Siddaganga mutt a day after 111-year-old Sri Shivakumara Swamiji’s funeral by not letting the devotees wasting the food served to them. This humble act of the student named Shivu which was recorded on camera has gone viral on social media.
Shivu was volunteering at a food counter, when the devotees tried to throw the food to the waste bin he requested them not to waste food served to them and made them eat the food.
When a person told him that as went short of sambar and therefore wanted to put the plate with the remaining rice into the bin, after listening to that person the boy got the sambar served to that person. Following the incident, the video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The video which was uploaded on the FaceBook page of the Sree Siddaganga Mutt saw over 1,600 views and 31 people shared it within no time.
The humble boy who hails from Chamarajnagara district said that his elder brother studied by just consuming gruel at times and also his teachers taught me to not to waste food, informed sources.
