Viral Video: CM calls up nurse, lauds her dedication towards work

Bengaluru: Chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday lauded the dedication of Belagavi-based nurse Sugandha Korikoppa after a viral video of the latter’s three-year-old daughter came to his notice.
The three-year-old, named Aishwarya has been inconsolable as Sugandha, a staff nurse attached to the COVID-19 ward of Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences has not gone home for nearly 15 days. As Aishwarya went to bed crying almost every night, her father brought her to the hospital so that she could see Sugandha for a few minutes from the entrance. A video of Aishwarya crying and pleading her mother to return home with them went viral on social media.
Yediyurappa who was moved by the images of the mother-daughter duo called up Sugandha and lauded her dedication towards her job.
“You are struggling, working very hard without even seeing your own children. I saw it on TV. Please cooperate. You will have better opportunities in the future. I’ll look out for you. God bless you, and I hope your hard work does you well,” Yediyurappa told Sugandha over the phone.
