One of India’s leading Direct-To-Home TV channel service provider Videocon D2H stopped working in India on Thursday, May 7.
As per sources, the basic channels of Videocon were showing up to all the users, but when the few users clicked any channels, it showed only 3 dots and a blank screen with a rectangular box. For some users, ‘synchronization with time error’ showed up on TV. The problem started on Thursday at around 4 PM.
Due to the nationwide lockdown, the d2h customer care has been shut and the chatbot on the website was also not working on the website. With one of the last options to reach customer care in the fastest way, customers started tweeting about the issue on the microblogging website.
Some people even tagged Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Minister of Law and Justice of India Ravi Shankar Prasad in tweets as well to escalate the issue.
In response to these multiple tweets, complaints, the customer care requested the customers to send a direct message with the Customer ID number and they will look into the issue.
However, customers claimed that even after they sent messages there was no response from the customer care.
While some users are able to watch channels on Friday, many customers are still not able to watch the channels yet.
