Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has assured all rounded support by the state government to bereaved families of soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Addressing the gathering during the “Vijay Diwas” event held by the National Military Memorial Trust on Friday, December 16, he said, “Several soldiers from Karnataka have laid down their lives for the country during the Bangladesh Liberation War, Kargil War, etc. Their service towards the motherland is unmatched. They sacrifice their lives for the country and its people. They do not even get an opportunity to rejoice in the war victory, as many would have lost their lives on the battlefield. It is the most humanitarian service one could render.”
“I bow down to their sacrifice, due to which we all are living peacefully”, he added.

Referring to Indo-China border tensions, Bommai said, “Some are trying to expand their borders, which is not possible with India. Our army will not allow any country to occupy or take away even an inch of this land. Along with the strong army, we also have a strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
