Vijayanagar: Police stamp lockdown violators forehead

Team Udayavani, Mar 30, 2020, 11:14 AM IST

Vijayanagar: Despite lathi-charge and other punishments given to the lock-down violators the number of people coming out to the street has been not reduced and therefore the city police are stamping the forehead of people for violating rules.

While police in different parts of the state are making the lockdown rules violators hold I am guilty placard, the police in Vijayanagar is putting “I have violated lockdown orders, please forgive me” stamps on the forehead of the violators.

This is an initiative to prevent people from stepping onto the roads and to enforce the nationwide lockdown due to novel coronavirus outbreak.
