Vijayapura: COVID-19 positive gives birth to twins

Vijayapura: A COVID-19 pregnant woman (P8789), who was being treated at the district hospital, has given birth to twin girls through normal delivery.
The COVID-19 positive woman is also diagnosed with anaemia and went into labour on Monday morning. Dr Manpreet Kaur’s team of doctors managed to perform a normal delivery.
Dr Sharanappa Katti, surgeon at the district hospital, said that the mother and the twins are healthy.
The babies weigh 2.0 kilograms and 2.1 kilograms.
The team of doctors included Dr Manpreet Kaur Taharia, Nurse Kashibai, Dr Upase, Ravi Kochabala, Mohsin Mamadapur and Class D staff Mallikarjuna which successfully conducted the normal delivery of the twins.
Dr Sharanappa stated that Dr Manpreet Kaur Taharia has successfully handled two such cases.
