Vijayapura: Family en route to temple harassed by cops donning civil clothes

Vijayapura: A family from Golasangi village of Basavanabagewadi taluk who were on their way to a temple were allegedly harassed by police officials donning civil clothes near Koodagi village.
It is said that Parashurama and his family were on their way to Vijayapura in their own truck. Police officials stopped them on the highway and began checking the truck.
Even though they did not find any illegal things, the cops abused the family using filthy language.
The police also snatched the phones of Parashurama’s brother and a reporter of a media house who tried to film the incident. They then seized the truck and tried to move the vehicle in a hurried manner.
It is said that there have been several complaints regarding the policemen involved in the incident. It is alleged that do not wear khaki uniforms and threaten the commuters with plastic pipes in their hands.
