Vijaypura:  Member of Parliament for Vijaypura Lok Sabha constituency, Ramesh Jigajinagi, was hospitalised on Sunday following complaints of chest pains and breathing difficulties.

The MP was on a road journey from Vijayapura to Hubballi on Sunday morning. He reportedly experienced the symptoms as he reached near Bilagi in Bagalkote district.

Medical attention was sought, and Jigajinagi was swiftly rushed to Bagalkote Srikumareshwar Medical College Hospital, where he reportedly received oxygen support.

Sources said that the MP may have suffered a mild heart attack, which led to the decision to conduct an angiography test for heart disease. The attending doctor conveyed to family members that Jigajinagi’s health is showing improvement, alleviating immediate concerns, sources added.
