Vijaypura: Veteran hotelier Lalitha Shetty passes away

Vijaypura: Lalitha Baburao Shetty, owner of the city’s ‘Mysore Restaurant,’ ‘Lalit Mahal Hotel’ and other hotels, died due to age-related ailments on Friday night at a private hospital here.

Lalita, a native of Mundkur in Karkala taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, was married to Baburao Shetty, a Vijayapur-based hotel businessman from Bajagoli in Karkala.

Lalita is survived by her four sons and five daughters.

Her funeral will take place at Vijayapur on Saturday at 12:30 pm.

Former minister MB Patil, MLA Sunil Gowda Patil, former MLA Professor Raju and various other dignitaries expressed condolences on her death.
