Vijayapura: Birthday celebrations are common fad. We often celebrate birthdays at home or hotels, have great food, and exchange gifts but this young lad from Tikota in Vijayapura celebrated his birthday in a way that caught all of our attention.
Suresh Kannur hailing from Tikota sells milk in the morning and works on his agricultural land. Every year he makes sure to do something for society even if that means helping someone in need.
This year on his 29th birthday, Suresh decided to paint the government school in Ashraya Colony.
Last year, Suresh distributed notebooks to around 108 students from class 1 to 5. As the schools remained closed this year due to the pandemic, he spent around Rs.25,000 and got the inner and outer walls of the school painted, including the doors and windows by hiring three or four workers to get the work done.
Sharada Biradar Patil, Headmistress of the school, and the teachers are delighted about their school getting a new look.
