Hebri: The Naxal Rehabilitation and Surrender Committee visited the encounter site of Naxal leader Vikram Gowda and inspected his residence.

Following discussions with tribal families at Peethabail, committee member and advocate Shripal K.P. spoke to reporters, stating that a survey was conducted to understand the issues faced by the region, including challenges with basic infrastructure and tribal family grievances.

He added that all findings would be reported to senior officials, and a press conference would be held in Bengaluru to bring these issues to the government’s attention. He urged individuals seeking to surrender to approach the committee, emphasizing efforts to reintegrate them into mainstream society.

The committee members visited several areas, including Kabbinahle, Nadpalu, Peethabail, and Kudlu. Journalist Parvatesh Bilidale and other committee members were present.

Search Operations Continue

Search operations by the ANF continued on Sunday in villages such as Nadpalu and Kabbinahle. Following the encounter, access to the Kudlu Falls, a popular tourist spot, has been restricted until November 27. Forest department officials stated that further decisions on lifting or extending the restrictions would depend on the prevailing situation.
