Village accountant caught red-handed taking bribe

A village accountant was caught red-handed by Lokayukta officials while accepting a bribe of ₹6,000 on Thursday.
Suresh, who was working at the Kasaba 1 office in Gadikoppa Circle, was arrested while accepting the bribe in his office. The operation was based on a complaint filed by Sanketh.
Suresh had demanded money for the registration of land, prompting Sanketh to approach the Lokayukta. The raid was conducted under the leadership of Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Ishwar Naik.
