Villagers heave sigh of relief with capture of stray tiger

Mysuru: The villagers of Agasanahundi, falling under Nagarahole National Park heaved a huge sigh of relief after a tiger which had killed their cattle was, on Monday, finally trapped in a cage placed by the forest department.
The villagers had been gripped with a sense of fear as the tiger had been lurking in the area and had lodged a complaint in this regards with the forest department.
The villagers staged a protest demanding the Forest officials to compensate their loss before shifting the trapped animal.
Forest department veterinarian Dr Mijeeb and RFO Sharan Basappa visited the spot.
