Villagers thrash Aussie man for allegedly misbehaving with women

Badami: The villagers of Konkanakoppa thrashed a 35-year-old Australian tourist after he allegedly misbehaved with few women of the village on late Monday night.

The tourist is identified as Williams K James, a resident of Melbourne of Australia.

As per the sources, James had arrived in Badami on Monday, after visiting the historical places in Badami, he travelled to Konkanakoppa, which is 15 kms from Badami, and entered a couple of houses in an intoxicated state and was found misbehaved with women. The villagers tied him to the electric pole and thrashed him brutally. Later, few localities interfered and asked the villagers to release him.

Following the incident, James was then shifted to the hospital. However, the doctors confirmed that he is out of danger.
