Vinay Kulkarni bail application dismissed

Dharwad: The special CBI court here on Monday, December 14 dismissed the bail application filed by in custody former minister Vinay Kulkarni in the Yogesh Gowda murder case.
On November 27, Vinay Kulkarni’s lawyer had filed a bail application in the special CBI court. After hearing CBI and Vinaya’s lawyers arguments in the last several hearings the court had reserved the judgement for December 14.
On Monday, the court stated that the petitioner is an influential person who is facing serious charges in the case and is also accused of destroying evidence. Moreover, as a CBI probe into the case is underway the bail plea is hence dismissed.
