Mangaluru: Multilingual actress Anushka Shetty aka Sweety Shetty, who originally hails from Tulunadu, was mighty impressed by the movie ‘Kantara’. It may be coincidental, but she was recently spotted at a Bhootakola in the coastal region.

Risha Shetty-starrer movie ‘Kantara’ has elements of Daiva worship practiced in the Karavali region. Bhootakola scenes also make up a good chunk of the movie giving it an ultra-local aesthetic. For its fantastic blending of local cultural practices into modern conflicts between man and nature, the movie has received wide appreciation from the film fraternity.

Anushka Shetty was one of the film stars who congratulated the film team. The actress, who has shied away from public events recently, was seen at a Bhootakola held in Mangaluru. Anushka also sought the blessings of divine power during the rituals.

A fan club of Anushka Shetty shared a video of her attending the religious event on Twitter. The video of ‘Sweety ‘ has since gone viral.

In this video, Anushka is seen wearing a traditional saree. She is standing with people and participating in Bhootakola rituals. she is also seen clicking pictures, and recording videos of the event.

On the work front, the poster of Anushka Shetty’s 48th movie was revealed recently. She is seen donning the attire of a chef, which has raised curiosity among her fans.
