A controversial video clip surfaced on social media showing Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama asking a boy to ‘suck his tongue’, inviting severe criticism from netizens.
In the undated video posted on Twitter, which has since gone viral, the Dalai Lama is seen kissing the lips of a minor boy, who had gone to pay respects to the spiritual leader. Further, Dalai Lama is also seen sticking his tongue out, pulling the boy towards him, and asking to “suck his tongue”.
Netizens were not amused by the ‘questionable’ behaviour of the Tibetan leader. Social media was flooded with sharp criticism of Dalai Lama’s conduct.
One Twitter user wrote: “Utterly shocked to see this display by the #DalaiLama. In the past too, he’s had to apologize for his sexist comments. But saying – Now suck my tongue to a small boy is disgusting.”
Another user saw a tinge of child abuse and wrote: “This is disgusting and appears to be a case of child molestation.”
