Bengaluru: A video of Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar driving a car without wearing a seatbelt during the inauguration of the city’s double-decker bridge has drawn criticism from netizens.

Tagging the city police in their post, netizens urged that legal action must be initiated against D K Shivakumar for not wearing a seatbelt while driving.

Social activist Vijay Dennis has also lodged a complaint with the city police commissioner against Deputy CM D K Shivakumar.

On June 17, Shivakumar was driving without wearing a seatbelt. Violating traffic rules by not wearing a seatbelt is considered a punishable offense. Laws should be equal for everyone. Therefore, police have been requested to take suitable legal action against the Deputy CM for violating traffic regulations.
