A video capturing a heated altercation between two women over a seat on a bus has gone viral on social media platforms.

The incident unfolded aboard a bus operating from Bidar to Kalaburagi, shedding light on the tensions brewing among passengers, particularly those benefiting from the Shakti Yojana, which provides free tickets to women.

According to eyewitnesses, the dispute erupted when one woman asserted her claim to a seat, declaring it as hers under the Shakti Yojana scheme. However, her assertion was met with resistance from another woman, who adamantly refused to relinquish the seat, leading to a verbal confrontation between the two.

As tempers flared, the situation escalated dramatically, with both women resorting to physical means to assert their claim. Witnesses recounted how the disagreement turned into a brawl, with shoes being brandished as weapons in the altercation. The scene unfolded as the two women hurled insults and engaged in a physical scuffle, much to the shock of fellow passengers.

Swift intervention from the bus conductor and other passengers helped diffuse the tension.
