Vishwanath and Radhakrishna quit JDS and join Congress

Bengaluru: Two JDS leaders have joined the Congress party. D M Vishwanath of Kanakapura and Radhakrishna of Mandya, who quit JDS, were welcomed into the Congress fold by KPCC President DK Shivakumar by giving them the party flag.

DM Vishwanath had earlier contested on JDS ticket from Kanakapura against Congress’ DK Shivakumar from JDS and lost. Radhakrishna was an aspirant for the JDS ticket at the Mandya constituency.

Nagesh to join Congress?

In the meantime, independent MLA from Mulabagilu Constituency and president of Ambedkar Abhivridhi Nigama H. Nagesh met with KPCC President D.K.Sivakumar. It is said that there is a possibility of him contesting from the Mahadevapura constituency on a Congress ticket. However, Nagesh later said that he has asked for the Mulabagilu constituency ticket.
