Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swami seer of Pejawar Mutt said that there is proof that King RamaBhoja had donated land to Udupi Sri Krishna Math and Sri Ananteshwar Sannidhi.
Addressing a pressperson in Tumkur, Sri Vishwaprasannatheerth Sripadu stated that there are necessary documents and inscriptions that confirm King Rama Bhoja and Kunjittaya family had donated land to Udupi Sri Krishna Math and Sri Ananteshwar Sannidhi
He further added that any statement made without a proper basis is baseless and pointless.
However, MLA K. Raghupati Bhatt had a different view on the matter. He claimed that the Muslim kings did not allow any space for Sri Krishna Math or Sri Ananteshwar and referred to records related to this in the inscription at Madhvasarovar. Despite this, Udupi is known for its friendliness, and it is believed that Haji Abdullah Saheb, a devotee of Lord Krishna, had helped the Math.
