Vitla: 1 dead and 1 injured in autorickshaw-car collision

Vitla: In a collision between an autorickshaw and a car on Saturday morning, the rickshaw’s driver died on the spot while a woman was injured.

The collision occurred on the Kodaje stretch of Mani-Mysuru State highway.

The car was travelling from Mani to Puttur and the autorickshaw was heading from Kodaje towards Mani when the collision occurred.

The deceased autorickshaw driver has been identified as Ammi, a resident of Kodaje Pantadka.

The wife of the driver who was travelling in the rickshaw sustained injuries to her leg and has been hospitalized.

Both the vehicles suffered severe damages due to the collision.
