Vitla: 11-year-old boy killed as lorry hits scooter at Gadiyara

Vitla: A boy who was riding on a two-wheeler with this father was killed when a lorry rammed into the vehicle on NH75 at Gadiyara near here on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Advith (11), a class VI student of Wisdom School in Budoli.
Dinesh Shetty and his son Advith, both residents of Kere near Gadiyara, were on their way home from school when a lorry that was moving towards Bengaluru rammed into them. Though the scooter was completely wrecked in the accident, the lorry driver sped away from the spot.
Advith, who was seriously injured, was rushed to a hospital in Thumbe, but could not be saved. His father, Dinesh, also sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at a hospital.
The lorry was later found parked at Nelyadi.
