Vitla: 19-year-old youth killed in lorry-two-wheeler collission

Vitla: In a tragic incident that occurred on the Kadur-Kanhangad inter-state highway, a co-rider lost his life while the rider sustained injuries in a collision with a lorry carrying a borewell drilling machine.

The incident took place at Kashimatha, and the deceased has been identified as Ranjith, a 19-year-old resident of Branapade in Alangaru.

According to eyewitnesses, the two-wheeler got stuck in the lorry carrying the borewell drilling machine, and the lorry dragged the co-rider a few meters away. The impact of the accident was so severe that it completely shattered the head of the victim. On the other hand, the rider Nitin (28), suffered serious injuries to his leg and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

The locals have blamed the accident on the negligence and reckless driving of the lorry driver. The Vitla police visited the accident spot and registered a case in connection with the incident.
