Vitla: Burglars break into house, rob gold & cash

Vitla: Burglars broke into a house when no one was around and decamped with gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees here.
The theft took place at Rahim Shan’s house near Vitla Kanthadaka School when the family members had gone to attend a wedding function.
It is suspected that the theft occurred between 8 pm and 11 pm. The thieves took away fifteen ‘pavan’ of gold and one lakh in cash. The family found the back door of the house was broken open when they arrived at midnight.
Vitla police visited the crime scene and are investigating the matter.
