Vitla: Robbers attack woman; loot valuables in broad daylight

Vitla: A woman was attacked with a sharp object and robbed of jewelry and valuables on Wednesday at Addada Beedi here.

Two robbers posing as electricity bill checkers gained entry into the house after the attack and made away with the loot as the woman bled.

The injured woman, identified as Beepatumma wife of Sulaiman, was rushed to a hospital.

It is gathered that Sulaiman had returned to the tender coconut sho e ran after lunch. His wife was alone at the house when the robbery took place.
