Vitla: Teacher attempts suicide, dies after 2 days

Vitla: A headmistress of a school, who attempted suicide a few days back, died after she stopped responding to the treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Priya Kumari, a resident of Vital and wife of a retired Army officer. The incident took place while her husband was taking shower.
Reportedly, Priya was recently transferred to Haradi school as in-charge headmistress and had reported to work only on December 10.
She had attempted suicide on December 13 and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru where she breathed her last. The reason behind this act is yet to be ascertained.
