Vitla: A tree fell onto a truck on the Mani-Mysuru State Highway, causing a complete roadblock on Wednesday night due to heavy rains.

The incident, which occurred near Mittur, led to a disruption in the Mangaluru-Puttur route. Vehicles from Puttur were redirected through Vitla, and those from Mangaluru through Mani as a temporary measure.

Due to the blockage, vehicles were stranded along the highway, causing inconvenience to travelers. Efforts to clear the road began overnight.
