Bengaluru: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has taken a decision of allowing engineering graduate and postgraduate students to do internships from home through online mode in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The university also decided to allow activities supplementary to the internship to be done digitally from home.

Employers and companies have also been told to engage the university’s students as interns through online mode, VTU authorities informed.

“The internship time allotted to the students has been reduced. We have also taken steps to include internships with assignments,” VTU Chancellor Dr Karisiddappa said.

“We have decided to conduct the examination of students with backlog subjects and it will be held before the end of September,” Dr Karisiddappa added.
