Belagavi: Municipal Administration Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi said on Saturday that he had prayed for a “special gift from God” and that he would stay away from Cabinet meetings till the time it was granted.
Speaking to media persons after attending a Karnataka Development Programme review meeting in the Zilla panchayat here, Jarkiholi who has skipped the last five Cabinet meetings said that he will continue to do so till God answers his prayers. He, however, refused to divulge what his prayer was.
“I am not using the official vehicle to move around. I am not availing the service of my personal assistants allotted by the government either. I will do all that once my wish comes true,” he said.
Further, he clarified that he was not upset with his portfolio and was willing to work in any ministry given to him.
