‘Wake Up Mangalore’ group objects after unvaccinated student denied entry to class

Mangaluru: Taking objection to the denial of entry to an unvaccinated student for the physical class, members of ‘Wake Up Mangalore’ group met the principal of the city-based college on Monday and brought the issue to his notice.
Pointing out at the guidelines issued by the Union Health Ministry, ICMR state that no individual can be forced to get vaccinated against their wishes, the members of the group said that a student cannot be discriminated against based on his vaccination status.
Following the meeting, the college principal assured the group of taking appropriate measures after consulting higher authorities.
