Wasn’t Nehru a smoker? reacts CT Ravi to criticism of his ‘hookah bar’ statement

Chikkamagaluru: Following criticism from Congress members against his statement that the Congress must start hookah bar in its office, BJP National General Secretary CT Ravi said that there was nothing wrong in him saying that as Jawahar Nehru was a known smoker.

“If what I said was wrong then wasn’t the smoking of cigars by Nehru wrong as well,” Ravi said.

He added that he has still not released the crass statements of former chief minister Siddaramaiah and Congress leader CM Ibrahim on Nehru and Indira Gandhi as he will not stoop that low.

“All those Congress members who tweeted against me and called me a drunkard are themselves daily consumers of liquor. They should not force me to publish their stories. I’m a disciplined worker of the RSS and not a follower of Kotwal Ramachandra,” he said.
