Walking on a tightrope needs a lot of skill and practice. Not many can walk on the narrow rope between two poles. But a daredevil from Brazil has set a new world record by walking on a tightrope tied across two hot air balloons flying at a mile’s height from the ground.
Rafael Zugno Bridi, a 34-year-old Brazilian stuntman successfully walked across an inch-wide slackline at a dizzying height of 1,901 meters (6326 feet) in the air, tied between two hot-air balloons flying 18 meters apart over the skies of Praia Grande in Brazil.
To give you a perspective the height is double that of the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa.
The video of the daredevil record attempt was shared by the Guiness Book Of World records on Instagram. “Highest slackline walk – 1,901 m (6,236 ft) by Rafael Zugno Bridi,” GWR wrote on the post.
“This incredibly daring feat also earned @rafabridi the record title for highest highline (male), free solo (ISA-verified),” Guinness World Records’ (GWR) wrote in a reply to its own post.
The video has since gone viral on social media. So far, the clip has garnered more than 8 lakh views and over 78k likes.
