According to several media reports, German boxer Musa Yamak, who was undefeated and had an 8-0 record, died of a heart attack on Saturday in Munich while battling Ugandan Hamza Wandera. A Turkish official rushed to Twitter to share the shocking news that the boxing world had lost another hero.
“We lost our compatriot Musa Askan Yamak, a boxer from Alucra, who won European and Asian championships, at a young age after a heart attack,” Turkish official Hasan Turan said on Twitter.

Yamak was performing well in the first round of the fight against Hamza Wandera, but he took a strong blow in the second round and tripped a little. He tried to fight back in the third round soon after the hard strike.
Yamak fainted unexpectedly during the third round, and emergency assistance was dispatched immediately. Unfortunately, the medical team was unable to save the 38-year-old, who died at the scene.

Musa Yamak turned professional in 2017 and went on to win the WBFed International title in 2021.
