A massive 500-kilogram ‘Nagada’ (Drum), embellished with gold and Silver, arrived in Ayodhya from Gujarat on Thursday, ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony.
General Secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, received the Nagada transported in a special chariot and assured its installation at the appropriate location.
According to news agency UNI, the acceptance of the Nagada was confirmed through a letter sent by Ashok Rawal, representing the Gujarat VHP.
Chirag Patel, the transporter of the Nagada, highlighted its embellishments with layers of gold and silver. The Nagada’s structure incorporates iron and copper plates and is crafted by the Dabgar community.
The Nagada was constructed in the Daryapur extension of Karnavati for eventual placement in the Ram temple, UNI report said.
