A video of a monkey treating itself to a buffet, set up for passengers traveling on Air India flight has surfaced on the internet.
The video clip was shot by an airline passenger at the Air India lounge in the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
In the video, the monkey can be seen enjoying a Gulab Jamun kept in the sweets section and later moves towards the salad counter. Lastly it can be seen grabbing a banana as it leaves the lounge while others just watched by.
Reports said that the monkey had taken shelter inside IGI airport’s terminal 3 for five days before he was rescued.
The video, originally recorded in March 2018 by a woman named Jenna Curtis, was uploaded on YouTube recently by the channel ViralHog and has garnered more than 34,000 views in two days.
The YouTube page put her quote in the video’s about section.
It said, “I was on a business trip in India and had a layover in Delhi so I was waiting for the next flight in the Air India lounge. I went to get some water from the fridge, and when I turned around I was shocked to see a giant monkey sitting there helping itself to all the food. It wandered around sampling bits and pieces before finally grabbing a banana to ‘takeaway’! Presumably to check out the offerings at the other lounges.”
