Water supply affected in Mangaluru due to pipeline damage

Mangaluru: The water supply in various parts of Mangaluru has been disrupted due to damage to the 1100mm Thumbe to Padil water supply line.

It is gathered that the damage was done during underground works by GAIL India.

Areas affected include Mangaladevi-Pandeshwara, Kannur, Padil, Bikarnakatte, Kudupu, Vamanjoor, Valencia, Kankanady, Hoige Bazaar, Bolar, Jeppinamogaru, Jeppu, Attavara, State Bank, Padil, and Nagori.

Additionally, the water supply to Chilimbi, Ladyhill OHTs, Bejai, Bajal, and areas of Shaktinagar, Kunjathbail, Bondel, and Ullal will be impacted. Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements and use water judiciously until the issue is resolved.
