We will consider BJP’s suggestion for renaming Haj Bhavan

Bengaluru: Wakf, Minorities Welfare Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan clarified that there has been no discussion yet on renaming the Haj Bhavn after Tipu Sultan. 

Addressing the media here on Monday, Zameer clarified that there were requests to rename the Haj Bhavan after Tipu Sultan, but it was reported in the media that he proposed to rename the Bhavan after Tipu. “We will consider the suggestion of BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa to rename the Bhavan after former president late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam,” he said. 

Muslim MLAs and MLCs met in a private hotel on Monday, under the leadership of Zameer Ahmed Khan and U T Khader. But Senior MLAs of the community Roshan Baig and Tanveer Sait were absent on the occasion. According to the sources, a discussion was held regarding the government projects for the Muslim community and their implementation.
