Wearing masks made compulsory in public: DC

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Rajendra KV on Monday, March 22 said that wearing masks in public places is mandatory and strict action will be taken against those who do not follow Covid-19 rules
Speaking to the reporters here, DC said, ” It is mandatory for all to wear masks in public. All must cooperate with the government officials to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the district. We have taken various measures to create awareness among the public.”
“Bus drivers, conductors, passengers, rickshaw drivers, students must all strictly wear facemasks. Also, it is now mandatory for guests at the wedding to wear masks. Those who do not follow Covid-19 rules will be penalized. We are also planning to introduce strict guidelines for religious gatherings and programs,” he added
